Diwali Ball 2007

Dear Friends

On Saturday the 10th of November, 2007 the Diwali Ball 2007 was held at Estadio Español and was a great success. DJ Monu Singh from New York came down for the event and made sure the music and atmosphere was alive till the early hours! Guru Nanak`s Birthday

Dear Friends

We wish to inform everyone that Mr. Ashok and Mrs. Jyoti Vaswani and their family will be organising celebrations at their residence for the birthday of Guru Nanak. It will be held on the 24th of November, 2007 starting at 4 p.m. and more details will be sent to everyone as the time draws nearer.

Diwali Ball 2007

Hi everyone

This year`s diwali ball has been confirmed for Saturday 1oth of November, 2007 and will be held in the Estadio Español. Tickets are already on sale and can be purchased from Mr. Rakesh Khubchandani at Importadora Sai Ram. For ticket prices please call Mr. Rakesh on his cell phone at 8208-0605.

This year we have some great raffle prizes to give away as well as a DJ being flown in from New York especially for the event. It promises to be a fun evening.

Please book your seats as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Dandiya Nite

Dear Friends

It is with great pleasure that we would like to inform everyone that we have confirmed a DANDIYA NITE to mark the start of the Navrata Festival. It will be held on Saturday 13th of October at Club Sirio and will start at 8:30 p.m.

Members of the Ladies Association are being subsidised 100%.
Members of the Men`s Association will be charged $10,000 pesos
Non-Members will be charged $12,000 pesos.
Children from 5-15 years old will be charged $6,000 and receive a special menu.

Please send your confirmations as soon as possible as we need to confirm by this weekend with Club Sirio the number expected. You can confirm by replying to either ilcstgo@yahoo.com or bharat@selecciones.cl or by calling Mr. Kamlesh Sadhwani at 689-6506.

General Body Meeting

The general body meeting of the Indian Association was held on the 30th September, 2007 at tai-pan chinese restaurant with almost 50 people in attendance. Plans for a Dandiya nite were confirmed as well as for the planning for the Diwali Ball. Elections were also held for the new committee 2008. The minutes of the meeting are published below for easy reference.

Ganesh Puja 2007

This year Mr. Harry Dharamdasani and his family hosted the Ganpati Festival in his residence and opened his house to the enitre community during the week. The event was from the 15th to the 25th of September with the Visarjan taking place on the 25th of September, 2007. Attached are the photos of the lovely event.
